The Mito Town Hall meetings have become an important annual touchpoint for the global mitochondrial community, bringing together patient groups, researchers, clinicians and industry partners to share updates, exchange insights and highlight emerging opportunities.

Hosted by MitoAction, these sessions open each new year with a comprehensive overview of programmes, research developments and initiatives that directly affect individuals and families living with mitochondrial disease. They provide an important space where scientific progress, lived experience and therapeutic innovation are discussed side by side, helping the community stay informed and connected.

Each Town Hall features contributions from organisations and companies worldwide, offering updates on new projects, clinical advances and support programmes for the year ahead.  This year, Jo de Bry presented an update on the work of IMP, highlighting how international collaboration and patient‑centred advocacy continue to drive progress across the field. Her contribution underscored the value of ensuring that patient organisations have a strong voice in shaping research and policy priorities.

For anyone who missed the session, the recording is available to watch online. It offers a clear and engaging overview of the latest developments and is an excellent way to stay connected with the wider mitochondrial community.
