UCB Art Show: Building Bridges

6 Nov, 2026

The 2026 UCB Mito Global Art Show brought the creativity and voices of the global mitochondrial disease community into the spotlight—a wonderful achievement that we at International Mito Patients (IMP) are delighted to celebrate.

The exhibition opened at UCB’s headquarters in Brussels on 5 November, and brought together patients, families and UCB colleagues around the theme “Bridges: Connecting Art, Energy, and People”.

Through their artwork, people affected by mitochondrial disease are sharing personal stories of connection, resilience and hope. Their contributions highlight both the challenges of living with mito and the relationships, imagination and determination that shaped their lives.

For IMP, this is a wonderful celebration of our community and the power of sharing lived experiences. The exhibition gives those experiences a platform, helping to build understanding and connections through art.

We congratulate everyone who contributed and thank UCB and the participating artists and organisations for bringing this exhibition to life.
