IMP now has members across three continents

We’re delighted to welcome three new members to IMP. With these new members, we have expanded our reach across four continents and strengthened our global commitment to supporting mitochondrial patient organisations. We’re thrilled to announce the following new members:
My Mito Mission (UK) Focused on awareness, support, and research, My Mito Mission empowers individuals to share their stories through personalised “missions” and fosters community through practical resources and peer connection. They also actively collaborate with other organisations to amplify their impact and drive collective progress in the fight against mitochondrial diseases. Their innovative approach inspires broader understanding and drives research into mito diseases.
Mitocon Brazil Founded to unify mitochondrial advocacy across Brazil and Latin America, Mitocon Brazil is driving public policy, awareness, and research into mito. Their legal and scientific focus has already impacted regional and state laws and increased national visibility. Currently Mitocon Brazil is advocating to have the Brazilian Government recognise World Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week.
Luigi Comini Philanthropic Association (Italy) Founded by a family personally affected by Pearson Syndrome/KSS, this association funds international research projects and raises awareness of rare mitochondrial diseases. Donations directly support a number of important research projects at Neurological Institute in Milan, the University of Padua and Cambridge University. The Association is also working collaboratively to support projects at the University of Pittsburgh and at UCL in London.
Each new member brings unique strengths and commitment to empowering mito communities worldwide. We’re so pleased that they have joined the IMP family and we look forward to their presence in our global community.
